I personally would say history is the most important subject because children need to know about the past to not make the same mistakes. However, I do believe History should be changed in school, so it's not white-washed. Kids SHOULD learn about the genocide that happened when America was "discovered" (I'm from the US, so I'm answering from my perspective). Kids should be exposed to the TRUTH, not just bs. I feel like exposing the next generation to the past really can make a good impact on our society, and that's why I say History is the most important subject in school.
