What is the history of greek mythology

Greek myth takes many forms, from religious myth’s of origin to folktales and legends of heroes. In terms of God’s, the Greek pantheon consists of 12 deities who were said to reside at Mount Olympus.

Greek mythology pertains to the stories and beliefs of Greek gods and godesses, heroes and heroines, mythical creatures, and magical places and items. Common Greek gods were Zeus (king of the gods), Hera (married to Zeus, queen of gods), Hermes, Poseidon, Hephaestus, Aphrodite, Hades, Apollo and Artemis, Athena, Aries, Demeter (has a daughter named Persephone), and Hestia. The three most powerful gods were Zeus, Poseidon, and Hades. Hades is the ruler of the Underworld, Zeus the sky, and  Poseidon the sea.
