Read the excerpt from black boy. when i awakened one morning my mother told me that we were going to see a judge who would make my father support me and my brother. an hour later all three of us were sitting in a huge crowded room. i was overwhelmed by the many faces and the voices which i could not understand. high above me was a white face which my mother told me was the face of the judge. across the huge room sat my father, smiling confidently, looking at us. my mother warned me not to be fooled by my father’s friendly manner; she told me that the judge might ask me questions, and if he did i must tell him the truth. i agreed, yet i hoped that the judge would not ask me anything. which details from the excerpt best indicates that wright was fairly young when this event takes place

What does the author see as the main cause for why students don’t really see shakespeare as a real, flawed human being? we shouldn’t shy away from discussing our literary heroes’ flaws. if nothing else, the knowledge of their failures us appreciate what success and greatness these authors did achieve. often our hero-worship keeps us from truly seeing the complexity of a great author. thus, i would argue, nothing would be better for high school students than to take shakespeare down a peg or two. a) the fact that students never learn enough about shakespeares biography b) the fact that students only read shakespeare’s comedies while in school c) the fact that students are never assigned to read any shakespeare while in high school d) the fact that students only read shakespeare’s greatest works in school and thus never see his weaknesses

*ill give best answer brainliest*read the excerpt below and answer the question. we did not know, as yet, which was the better side, right or left, which road led to prison and which to the crematoria. still, i was happy, i was near my father. our procession continued slowly to move forward. another inmate came over to us: “satisfied? ” “yes,” someone answered. “poor devils, you are heading for the crematorium.” he seemed to be telling the truth. not far from us, flames, huge flames, were rising from a ditch. something was being burned there. a truck drew close and unloaded its hold: small children. babies! yes, i did see this, with my own eyes . . children thrown into the flames. (is it any wonder that ever since then, sleep tends to elude me? ) so that was where we were going. a little farther on, there was another, larger pit for adults. what is the conflict portrayed in this excerpt from elie wiesel’s night? select all that apply. the external conflict between the nazis and the jews the external conflict between the nazis and the allies the external conflict between wiesel and the inmate the internal conflict between wiesel’s memory of the burning bodies and his desire for peaceful sleep
