In the book the words chosen are normal words to explain the situation. On the other side, the words chosen in the radio play were terrifying. They surely wanted to convey panic. It was a scary tone. As regards the format, the book is written and the radio play was performed by more than one presenter. This gave the audience a tone of suspence and anxiety.
