Without having the story given here, I can't give you an exact answer, but I can help you find one.  As you read, think about how this story affects you.  If it doesn't affect you, how could it affect your family?  If it doesn't affect your family, how could affect other people around you?  Once you answer that, find a passage (or sentence) in the story that you can use as evidence to explain your answer further.  For example, if you were watching Finding Nemo, you could say that the relationship with Nemo and his father is strained because his dad tries to keep him from doing everything.  You would then explain that if parents are constantly doing this to their children, there will be many societal problems when children go missing because they are running away from rules.
