Why does woolf imagine the story of this gifted women rather then writing a true story?

This is because women who were that talented would not be able to practice their craft.  At the time, doors were not open to women even when they are capable let alone talented.  So she just limited herself to imagining one rather than write about one.

while looking through books for my class period i noticed the library cards in the books.most of them are torn or have no space to write out our names anymore.would we be able to replace them?
