The director of the british film The Ark refers in this movie to the biblical story of Noah and the Ark.

The films tells the story of a man who is alerted by an angel about a flood that is going to engulge his world. This angel advises Noah to build an ark to save people from the flood, and so Noah does telling the citizens what the ark is for and what is going to happen. Many of them don't believe in Noah's speech and, when the time comes, they drown. The believers get safe and welcomed on board with a host of animals and birds.

This movie is referred to Noah's Ark, vessel in the Genesis flood narrative (Genesis chapters 6–9) through which God spares Noah, his family, and a remnant of all the world's animals from a world-engulfing flood.
