How does the title affect meaning in a technical text?

Headers help organize a piece of writing/text so that the reader can skip over parts of the text that they don't need/want to read and find the parts that they do need/want.

Titles in a technical text allow the readers to determine, at first glance, whether or not to explore the information further. Bearing in mind that titles should be well-crafted phrases, they should help readers quickly identify the entire document topic. Instead of choosing a complete sentence, a simple short phrase is enough when writing the title for a document. Since titles affect the meaning in a technical text, the writer should be careful when choosing the words used to express the document's purpose as well as its location and font in order to attract the audience's attention.
