The speaker clearly finds bat depictions on films quite humourous, since they find it exaggerated and untrue. This criticism evidences the speaker intent to explain the legitimate characteristics and senses of bats, and through this, the speaker's character develops the delivery of their desire and belief: Their current human form being merely an interlude for their subsequent ultimate and true form.
