In everyday life, we use rhetoric, for exaple when we convince a friend to go to the cinema, or to choose one restaurant over another one. Even when you watch TV, advertisements are always trying to persuade and convince you to buy something or to take a course of action.

Rhetoric is language designed to have a persuasive or impressive effect on its audience, but often regarded as lacking in sincerity or meaningful content.
