Explanation:

In this poem, we encounter a tragic conflict. We learn that a man has died aboard a boat, and that his lover is holding unto him. She believes that he is just cold, and she is trying to wrap her hair around him in order to warm him. However, the people on the boat are urging her to let him go. This is the main conflict of the poem. In the last stanza, however, we learn about the resolution. The woman has let go of the man, and the night will hide him.
