Passage one and two state that Trujillo was assassinated by a group of plotters. In the first passage, the facts are stated and one of the army officers who killed him said that murdering him was the only way out. On the other hand, in the second passage, the child of one of the people who assassinated Trujillo states that the assassination was seen as a way to bring justice.

Passage one never discusses how Trujillo's death affected individuals, it does not say anything about bringing justice back to the people. Neither one of the passages mentions how Trujillo improved the Dominican Republic or how life was under the dictatorship.

What we understand from a text, or the main point being discussed by the author is the central idea. The central idea of the text is;
