Social media has made young people's social skills worsen. Instead of going out to meet friends, young people sit in ther bedrooms talking via social media. They don't talk to people now. This makes it harder to make new friends as there social skills are not developed. Social media has also helped our social lives because we can stay in contact with friends that live a long way away. This wouldn't be possible other wise because you wouldn't be able to meet up. There are dangerous aspects of social media though. We could meet people who aren't very nice. If they pretended to be our age and met up with these people they could abuse us.
