Project: Design a Running Shoe Running shoe technology is constantly changing. Athletes and marathon runners want endurance. Olympic runners want to shave milliseconds off their sprint times. Everyday runners may want flexibility in options, colors, and different uses (indoor or outdoor). You will design a shoe with a new feature.

Assignment Directions
The design requirements should include an explanation of the design feature, the materials needed to produce that feature, and a sketch of the feature on a running shoe. Your design specification should be at least 500 words and include research. Include materials needed for the features such as chemical coatings, minerals, or plastics.

Assignment Guidelines
Using the information from the research, your design requirements should contain the following:

A statement of the problem experienced by to runners because of current shoe technology or designs
The new design feature that solves the problem for a runner
Online research to add that feature to running shoes
A design for the system with a sketch
A written design specification noting the materials to be used and how they will be used in manufacturing
References for research
Submission Requirements
Use standard English and write full phrases or sentences. Do not use texting abbreviations or other shortcuts.
Make the information easy to understand.
