A Manufacturing company has a limit of 25 mg/m3 sulfur dioxide (SO2) in emissions from all of the stacks on their campus. To meet this output limit, the plant operator decides to blend the exhaust stream from a coal-fired boiler with the exhaust stream from a boiler using low-sulfur diesel. If the coal-fired boiler exhaust contains 57 mg/m3 SO2 and the diesel-powered boiler contains 1.5 mg/m3, in what ratio do these two exhaust streams need to be blended before they are released from a stack to meet the SO2 limit? You may assume that SO2 is conservative.
