Switching function L controls the stairway electric lights in a 2-story building. Motion sensors S1 and S2 installed near the stairway ends at the 1 st and the 2 nd floors turn on electric light L when any of the motion sensor signals is 1. (L =1 when the light is on). The electric light is disabled by daylight sensor E (E=1 when the background light is sufficient). There is also manual switch M to override the automatic control (L=1 unconditionally when M = 1). Function L is described by the algebraic expression L (S1, S2, E, M) = (S1 + S2) E’ + M
Obtain the following: a. Schematics for implementation of function L with requested logic gates. The gates may have any number of inputs.
1. AND, OR gates and inverters (NOT)
2. Any number of AND gates and inverters (OR gates are not available)
