Consider a refrigerator in a room on a hot summer day. The room is maintained at 25 °C by an air conditioner when the outside atmosphere temperature is 35 °C. 4 °C temperature is maintained inside the refrigerator. Now, the light bulb in the refrigerator usually switches off when the door is closed. In this case, this does not happen due to a malfunction, and the bulb generates 10W heat continuously inside the refrigerator. Assuming that electricity costs 10 cents per kW-hr, please calculate the total daily cost of electrical work needed to remove the 10W heat from the malfunctioning bulb and reject it into the atmosphere. Assume that the refrigerator and air conditioner are both Carnot devices.
