Suppose a client host tries to detect the number of servers in a cloud computing data center. The client observes that the IP protocol stamps a certain sequence ID number (SIN) on each IP packet. The SIN of the first packet generated by a server is a random number starting from 6000, and SINs of the next packets are sequentially assigned. Assume all IP packets constructed by servers behind NAT are sent to the outside world beyond the data center. Recall that NAT in a data center is incorporated in the load balancer

(a) Assuming you can sniff all packets transmitted by NAT to the outside, present an algorithm that detects the number of unique servers behind the NAT/load balancer.
(b) Reconsider the conditions presented in part (a), this time considering that the SINs are not sequentially assigned.
(c) If the number of servers is substantially large, which is the case in practice, comment on how efficient your algorithm executes the objectives of the algorithm.

Amass of 1.5 kg of air at 120 kpa and 24°c is contained in a gas-tight, frictionless piston-cylinder device. the air is now compressed to a final pressure of 720 kpa. during the process, heat is transferred from the air such that the temperature inside the cylinder remains constant. calculate the boundary work input during this process.

Asolid cylinder is concentric with a straight pipe. the cylinder is 0.5 m long and has an outside diameter of 8 cm. the pipe has an inside diameter of 8.5 cm. the annulus between the cylinder ad the pipe contains stationary oil. the oil has a specific gravity of 0.92 and a kinematic viscosity of 5.57 x 10-4 m2/s. most nearly, what is the force needed to move the cylinder along the pipe at a constant velocity of 1 m/s?
