G A data path is the path by which data flows in a system. In this lab, you will implement a simple data path with a register file, ALU, and user inputs. Each processor contains a register file that holds the registers used in program execution. Registers are fast access local variables that can change after every instruction. In this lab, you will be building a register file that contains four, 4-bit registers. Each of the four registers has an address (0b00 -> 0b11) and stores a 4-bit value. The value saved to a destination register (write register) will be chosen from one of two sources, the keypad user input, or the output of the ALU. The ALU in this system is a 4-bit bitwise right rotation (right circular shift) circuit that takes two of the register values as inputs (read registers). You may not use the MML library ALU and should instead build one out of muxes or logic gates. From the user interface, the user will select the data source (source select) and the addresses of the read and write registers.

Aloaded platform of total mass 500 kg is supported by a dashpot and by a set of springs of effective stiffness 72 kn/m. it is observed that when the platform is depressed through a distance x = 12.5 cm below its equilibrium position and then released without any initial velocity; it reaches its equilibrium position in the shortest possible time without overshoot. find the position and velocity of the loaded platform 0.10 sec. after its release. if a further load of 400 kg is added to the platform, find, i) the frequency of damped vibrations, and i) the amplitude of vibration after 2 complete oscillations, given that the initial amplitude is 15 cm.

10 kg of co2 is initially contained at 400 kpa and 300 k. the gas constant for carbon dioxide is 189 j/lkg k) and has a specific heat ratio, k, of 1.289. isentropic expansion then occurs until the pressure is 200 kpa. a) determine the initial volume of co2 in m. b) determine the final temperature in k. c) determine the work done by the system during the expansion kl.

On solidification from a melt, the polymer polyethylene forms a semi-crystalline spherulite structure. (i) sketch an individual spherulite and label the amorphous and crystalline regions. (ii) draw a schematic to show the changes in specific volume with temperature during cooling from the melt, comparing it to the theoretical extremes of fully crystalline and fully amorphous (indicate tm and tg)

An air-conditioning system consists of a heating section and an evaporative cooler. air enters the heating section at 10°c and 70 percent relative humidity at a rate of 30m^3/min, and it leaves the evaporative cooler at 20°c and 60 percent relatively humidity. if the air conditioning system operates at a total pressure of 98 kpa, determine (a) the temperature and relative humidity of the air when it leaves the heating section, (b) the rate of heat transfer in the heating section, and (c) the rate of water added to air in the evaporative cooler
