In a steady-flow adiabatic compressor a mixture of 60% nitrogen and 40% hydrogen (by mass) is compressed from 120 kPa and 400 K to 130 kPa. The amount of work for this process is 100 kJ/kg. The mixture behaves as ideal gas. Calculate (a) the exit temperature of the mixture, and (b) the entropy change of the gas mixture. (30 points) Use constant specific heats at the correct inlet temperature.
