Consider a pinned-fixed beam subject to a uniform load. The equation for the resulting deflections is:
y = (/48E) (2x⁴ - 3Lx³ + L³x)
Use the following parameter values in your computation (making sure that you use consistent units):
L = 400 cm, E = 52,000 kN/cm², = 32,000 cm⁴, and = 4 kN/cm.
Determine the point of maximum deflection and also the value of maximum deflection using the MATLAB script. (Round the final answers to four decimal places.)
