A refrigerator uses refrigerant-134a as the working fluid and operates on vapor-compression refrigeration cycle. The pressures of the evaporator and condenser are 0.12 MPa and 0.8 MPa, respectively. The isentropic efficiency of the compressor is 0.85. The mass flow rate of the refrigerant is 0.1 kg/s.

Assume that the refrigerator leaves the evaporator as saturated vapor, and leaves the condenser as saturated liquid, and disregard any heat transfer and pressure drops in the connecting lines between the components.

(1) Show the cycle on a T-s diagram with respect to saturation lines; and Determine

(2)the rate of heat removal from the refrigerated space;

(3) the power input to the compressor;

(4)the rate of heat rejection to the environment;

(5) the coefficient of performance (COP)
