We wish to analyze the velocity (v) of a fluid exiting an orifice in the side of a pressurized tank. the tank contains a fluid to a depth ( h ) above the orifice. the air above the fluid in the tank is pressurized to a value of ( p ). we realize the greater the pressure inside, the greater the velocity. we also believe the greater the depth of fluid, the greater the velocity. examine the equations below and indicate for each if the equation is a valid or invalid equation; justify your answer for each case. in these expressions, g is the acceleration due to gravity and r is the fluid density.
