de la nueva tecnología. ¿QUÉ OPINAS DE ESTA VISIÓN QUE TIENE ESTE AUTOR?
Nicholas Carr: Nuestra habilidad para programar computadores que asumen más de una de nuestras tareas y talentos no se va a detener, de modo que pienso que el reto es diseñar y usar la tecnología de manera más sabia. Esto significa que hay que usar la automatización para extender y expandir nuestros talentos y no para reemplazarlos. Infortunadamente, con frecuencia –y este es el caso de la navegación por GPS– estamos muy prestos a volvernos dependientes de los computadores y perdemos la oportunidad de practicar y fortalecer nuestras habilidades. Temo que si continuamos andando ciegamente por ese camino, nuestras vidas se volverán menos interesantes y ricas. Perderemos esa conexión con el mundo que el talento y el compromiso nos proveen. Así como no debemos rechazar las tecnologías de automatización, debemos resistirnos a aceptarlas sin cuestionamientos.
