The manager can prepare an algorithm, and a data flow diagram as well as use case diagram, class diagram and the flow chart to explain his programming ideas to his team. A manager is expected to be acquainted with Software Engineering if not the coding, and hence, he knows the above. And if he does not know these as well, he can make an algorithm in his native language, and get it translated from translation software to the language of the programmers, and explain to them exactly what is required.
