Normalization is known as the process under which one organizes a database in order to improve data integrity and reduce redundancy.  It also tends to streamlines database design in order to achieve optimal structure made up of the basic elements.

It is also referred to as data normalization, it is considered as a vital part of database design, since it helps with accuracy, speed and efficiency of database.  By doing so, one can arrange data into columns and tables.
