and data mining is the extraction of valuable information from a database as well. in CRM data mining is similar to data warehousing because the retrieved data is a complete view of the customer of an organization. in both cases of data mining  and data warehousing in CRM the customer is the point of attraction and this is what makes data mining and data warehousing similar when applied in CRM.
