Somebody please help me with this... istg i've searched the entire internet and my chem textbook and i could not find a single answer. it's 4am and i have to finish this tonight and I'm so braindead I literally cannot think pls help.

When a gas dissolves in a liquid, the ability of the gas molecules to move freely throughout the volume of the solvent is greatly restricted. If this latter volume is small, as is often the case, the gas is effectively being compressed.

The solubility of a gas in a liquid will increase if: Lower the temperature of the solution , and therefore, lower the kinetic energy of the gaseous particles so they can escape the liquid phase less often
