All chemical reactions need the same amount of activation energy.

Activation energy is an amount which any molecule required to react with other molecule. Every molecule has certain amount of energy but if that is not equivalent to activation energy for particular reaction then reaction between molecules doesn't take place and you can not get the product.

Example

Nitrogen and Hydrogen both are there in ambient air but those are not react at ambient conditions and ammonia won't form. This is due to lack of activation energy for that reaction at given conditions.

Heber process is used world wide for the production of ammonia. It takes place at 200 bar pressure and around 500 °C temperature in presence of iron as a catalyst. Here iron is the broker who deals with Hydrogen and Nitrogen and makes reaction possible. In this reaction iron reduces the activation energy for a reaction and we get an ammonia as a product. But with catalyst the surrounding conditions are also required for particular reaction.

So here we can say that without sufficient activation energy reaction is impossible between two molecules. But if we use certain compound which has a property to reduce the value of activation energy then reaction can easily take place between that molecules at required conditions of surrounding.
