How do decomposers interact with producers and consumers in an ecosystem

Best producers use nutrients in the soil > consumers eat the producers, obtaining the energy and nutrients that the plant took > the consumer dies and is decomposed by a decomposer (usually decomposing bacteria), which replaces the nutrients back into the soil > producers use the nutrients in the soil.
