cobalt chloride. As the mixture absorbs moisture to form hydrated compounds, the cobalt chloride changes from blue-
violet CoCl2 • 2H20 to pink CoCl2 • 6H20. When this hydrated mixture becomes totally pink, it can be restored to the
dihydrate form by being heated in the oven. Write a chemical equation and a word equation for the reactions that occur
when this mixture is heated.
