Find the answer to the following long division problem. If 125 animals were lost, how many trees were cut down in the process?

It would be 12.5

So we know that each tree = 10 animals if u lost 125 animals you would have cut down 12.5 trees

125/10=12.5.
Also we know it’s more than 10 because if we lost 10 trees we would have lost 100 animals. And we know it’s less than 15 trees because that would be 150 animals. So, if u divide the number of animals lost by the ratio of tree to lost animals you would get a loss of 12.5 trees, but because u can’t have half a tree really u could round it to 13 if needed.
