What is the Independent Variable for this scenario? *
Thomas became interested in insulation while his family built a new home.
He decided to test the different types of insulation his family bought by filling a jar half full of
cool water, sealing the jar with a plastic lid, and then wrapping the jar with 400 g of
insulation his dad bought.
He then wrapped 2 other jars with other brands of insulation (400 g of insulation, half-filled
with water and sealed with a plastic lid).
A fourth jar was filled half-full of water, sealed with a plastic lid, and was not wrapped in
insulation
He placed all 4 jars in direct sunlight. He recorded the change in temperature every 5
minutes for 1 hour
