In a calorimetry experiment, an unknown metal with a mass of 24.2 g that has been heated to a temperature of 90.1 Β°C is placed in a coffee cup calorimeter containing 74.0
g of water initially at a temperature of 23.5 Β°C. After the water and metal have reached
thermal equilibrium, the final temperature reading of the calorimeter is 27.2 Β°C.
