The water cycle describes how water moves through the Earth. Water exists as a liquid in oceans and on land. It is a gas in the atmosphere, and it is ice in glaciers.
There are many parts to the water cycle. Water falls from clouds in the atmosphere as snow or rain. Snow and ice build up and melt on the ground. Water flows on the ground in rivers, lakes and other bodies of water. Plants use water and release it later. Water also seeps into the ground. It is sometimes released from geysers or volcanic steam. Water flows into the oceans. It evaporates into the atmosphere and then condenses into clouds. Clouds move through the atmosphere. This cycle repeats over and over again.

The lattice enthalpy (formation of ionic solid from ions in the gas phase) for agcl(s) is -916 kj/mol and the hydration enthalpy (dissolution of gaseous ions into water) is -850 kj/mol. how much heat (in joules) is involved in forming 1l of saturated agcl solution (1.8 × 10-4 g / 100 ml water) by dissolving agcl(s)? assume solution volume does not change much upon dissolution. the equations are given below. ag+(g) + cl−(g) æ agcl(s)
