I have a capsule it is completely sealed, it has plants, small herbivores, predators and decomposing microorganisms. I have a way of measuring the total energy of the system. I start with a total of 10,000 calories, but after a few days I only detect that there are 200 calories. My capsule still weighs the same. What's going on? Help!

a). in this case, dh> 0 and sd> 0. if t becomes larger, the term "-tds" will become more negative. at some point, it is possible that -dts will be more negative than the dh is positive, and the reaction will become spontaneous. this is probably the correct answer, but you should look at all of the other possibilities and make sure of that.
