Agas has a pressure of 1.00 atm and a volume of 500 ml. when its pressure is doubled, at constant temperature, to 2.00 atm, its volume halves to 250 ml, following boyle's law. however, when its pressure is increased 1000 times, at constant temperature, to 1000 atm, the volume decreases to 2 ml which is more than 1/1000 of 500 ml. what is the reason why boyle's law is not obeyed when the pressure is increased to 1000 atm?
