Calculating if mns would precipitate under the given circumstances (solubility product)?
hello, i have the following question! can someone show their workings? you so much in advance for all you : )
a solution contains 0,1 m ethanoic acid (ch3cooh) and 0,1 m of manganese (ii) ions.
given information: pka (ethanoic acid)= 4,75
pksp of mns = 15
pksp of h2s = 22
a) does any precipitation/sediment of manganese sulfide (mns) form, when the solution is saturated with hydrogen sulfide (h2s)?
b) a new solution contains an acetate buffer (consisting of 0,1m of ethanoic acid and 0,1 m sodium acetate), instead of the 0,1 m of ethanoic acid. can manganese sulfide (mns) precipitate under these circumstances?

Which statements are true concerning mineral formation? check all that apply. the slower the cooling, the larger the crystals. the faster the cooling, the smaller the crystals. crystals formed from magma are smaller than crystals formed from lava. minerals can only form in solutions when the solution is heated deep underground. when a solution cools, elements and compounds leave the solution and crystallize as minerals. minerals formed from hot water solutions can form narrow channels in the surrounding rock.
