Look up the definition for napl (non-aqueous phase liquids), dnapl, lnapl. answer the following question.
a 208l (55 gallon) drum of tce spills into a 10,000 l reservoir. if volatilization is negligible and the tce dissolves to the level of its experimentally determined water solubility:
1.estimate the proportion of tce in both the napl and the dissolved phases.
2.where will the napl phase be found at the top or bottom of the reservoir?
note--you will have to find a solubility and density value for tce and must cite the source. you dont need partitioning to solve this problem.
