On a beautiful spring day in New York City, a tour bus operated by Take a Ride, Inc. was driving through Times Square. Two tourists seated in the middle section of the bus began arguing very loudly. To prevent a situation that could escalate into a physical fight, the bus driver turned around to calm the passengers. Next, the bus veered off the dedicated bus lane and into the bicycle lane, hitting Peter (he/him) who was riding his bike in the bus lane of the road. Peter was thrown to the ground and suffered severe injuries, including two broken legs and a shattered arm. In the collision, the front wheel flew off Peter's bicycle and rolled 5 blocks down the street, hitting Myra (she/her), who was walking down Broadway looking at the theaters and hoping they would open soon.
