The great depression was caused by the lack of their economic system which happened because of the several dust storms causing major ecological and agricultural damage to American and Canadian prairie lands during the 1930 to 1936 crop prices decrease by 50% because most of their food and props were damaged which caused failure to pay bills because it was harder to make profit that's why most business was and debt by taking out large amount of loans and not being able to pay it back
