Also, when I am aware of my obstacles or challenges, it will help me find a way to avoid them or find a better way to accomplish something. It is also something that I know I need to work on and become better at, and without being aware of first, I wouldn’t be able to do that. When I am aware of how I function, it makes it easier for me to achieve my goals. I wouldn’t be able to grow in my personal, academic, or professional life if I wasn’t aware of those things. A saying that I learned throughout my recovery was “ to be aware is to be alive.” It is essential to know my benefits and downfalls within myself to be able to grow and become better in all areas of my life.
