Use RADAR:

An officer should use radar in reduced visibility.  

Use sound signals:

Sound signals should be used according to the rules in reduced visibility whether it is day or night these are very helpful to avoid collision.  

Use navigation lights:  

In reduced visibility a boater should use the navigation lights correctly because this is the best way to reduce collision of boats in reduced visibility.  

In reduced visibility the officer should act upon the rules that are applicable in these conditions to prevent the collision of the boat. He should immediately inform the masters, exhibit the lights that are used for navigation and should handle his ship in correct order so that the ship could not collide with any other ship or surface.
