How does exercise affect the balance of salt and water in your body seventh grade science middle school

During exercise, the body loses water and salt in the form of sweat from sweat glands. Studies suggest that U.S adults take more salt amount through diet that it is required by the body.  

The amount of salt is required by a normal adult is 2,300 mg so if a person is doing the exercise than salt is lost through the sweat from the body so the person requires extra amount of salt in his diet to fulfill the requirement of salt of the body.

With salt, the water level of the body also gets down so the appropriate amount of water should be consumed during or after the exercise to prevent the dehydration of the body.

Therefore, exercise affects the balance of salt and water by lowering their amount in the body.
