use in medical intervention the information obtained from the manner in which fire fly lights up can be used as fill in for in case mitochondria slows in their process of making ATP in the cases of heart attack. In addition, it is possible to use the chemicals that causes the light fly to light up to directly measure the levels of energy in the living cells of the heart.

what levels of ATP in the heart indicate. the scientists would know that with increased level of ATP the heart would function longer. for instance, in case of heart attack where levels of ATP dramatically falls, heart may not beat properly. so the level of ATP inside the heart indicate amount of energy available for heart to continue functioning well.

application of this research. this research could be applied in cases whe patients are undergoing heart surgery or they have suffered a heart attack in past or they are experiencing one. it is a test that will help patent find out whether they are at increased risk of stroke or irregular heart beats.
