Clouds are made up of tiny droplets. what happens to the droplets when they are very heavy?

In a cloud, the evaporated water droplets being to collide together creating millions of heavier rain drops. The more tiny droplets, the darker the cloud gets. Once the weight is too much for the cloud to hold, the process called precipitation (a.k.a. rain, snow, and/or hail ).
