Why do we wear white or light coloured clothes in summer? Why do we wear black or dark coloured clothes in winter?

In summer we generally prefer white or light coloured clothes because :-

Light or white coloured clothes are bad absorber or a good reflector of heat . So when light rays falls on any white or light coloured clothes. they reflect that rays and absorb negligible of it . Light or white coloured clothes also allow the heat to escape from your body which makes you feel cool for a long day . Light or white coloured clothes are also act as a good absorber of sweat so when people sweat .Then as a good absorber , they absorbs it and you will feel coolAnswer 2 :-

In winter we generally prefer dark or black coloured clothes because :-

Black or dark coloured clothes are good absorber and bad reflector of heat. When light rays falls on any black or dark coloured clothes it absorbs all the heat especially black coloured clothes. This happens because different colours have different wavelength. On the other hand, black colour has the ability to absorb all different types of wavelength of visible colour that is why it act as good absorber. The black or dark coloured clothes absorb all the heat and allow negligible heat to escape and due to this our body feels warm It is also act as good soaker of sweat just like white coloured clothes.
