What is the importance of reproductive cells to men and women

The human reproductive system functions is to produce human offspring, with the male providing sperm and the female providing the ovum. So basically the man cells to women they produce, maintain and transport sperm (the male reproductive cells) and semen protective fluid around sperm). They discharge sperm into the female reproductive tract.
