I belive it is the sudden stop in activity your doing that makes the brain observe the quietness, or the fact that nothing around you is moving or living. think about it. you don't feel lonely near a dog, because of course he or she is your companion. but if your with your phone, which you use more than your around your dog, you still feel lonely. as humans, we tend to hold on to living thing greater that we do non living things.

we aren't hard wired to feel lonely, it's the certain things we do that make you feel loneliness. if you were to keep going to party's and going crazy on. dance floors you would feel happy, but you would lightly feel lonely.

we are always looking for something to cling onto. no matter who you are or what you think you are like, you will always want and need a loved one to cling onto and share things with.

in most ways, it's not beneficial to have that trait.

we need someone in our live that help us on our everyday things we do. whether you think so or not.
