Difference between bacteria and fungi

Bacteria and Fungi both come under different categories. Bacteria is the prokaryotic cell while the fungi are Eukaryotic cells. On the other hand, fungi grow their own and are heterotrophs and hence depend on others for their food.

Fungi is the plural form of fungus. When it is called as fungus, it usually refers to one particular species i.e. Saccharomyces cerevisiae is a fungus, whereas Mucor, Penicillium and Ascomycetes, Basidiomycetes are fungi
